SILVER JUBILEE YEAR

The life of St. Padre Pio Parish has been intimately tied to our patron saint, St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina. It is the first church in Canada built in his honour and contains a number of his relics, including his gloves and chalice. The parish was established and founded on June 16, 2002, the same day that St. Padre Pio was canonized in Rome by Pope John Paul II. The church building was opened and dedicated by Archbishop Thomas Collins on September 23, 2010, the feast day of St. Padre Pio. From 2002 to 2010, the parish held mass in the school gym of St. Andrew's Catholic Elementary School. Since the church opened, thousands of people have come to find healing and consolation through the intercession of St. Padre Pio. Located in Kleinburg, Ontario, the Parish of St. Padre Pio is a focal point for devotees of Padre Pio from across Canada and beyond.
